Perth and Western Australia has a interesting history, once called the Swan Colony by the British, till that rename the state Western Australian, which has an area of 2.65 million square kilometres and a population of 2.65 million. Perth is the capital and services centre for Australia’s mining industry, also attracts its fair share of arts and sporting events. Western Australia is also home to the Margaret River wineries. Also, the Kimberley region is home to ancient Aboriginal rock art, the Bungle Bungle sandstone domes and Broome, with Cable Beach camels and Australia’s largest pearling industry.
Western Australia is predominately rural/non-urban outside of Perth and Freemantle, with those two centres having residential, commercial/industrial and special use properties.
